Ten Common Sense Economic Truths

common sense economic rulesThe more closely I look, the more obvious it is that the Old Economy fails because it is based on false values, assumptions, and logic. Those who are working to create a New Economy from the bottom-up intuitively recognize and act on 10 common sense truths foundational to a sound economy.

The proper purpose of an economy is to secure just, sustainable, and joyful livelihoods for all. This may come as something of a shock to Wall Street financiers who profit from financial bubbles, securities fraud, low wages, unemployment, foreign sweatshops, tax evasion, public subsidies, and monopoly pricing.

GDP is a measure of the economic cost of producing a given level of human well-being and happiness. In the economy, as in any well-run business, the goal should be to minimize cost, not maximize it. More…

7 Key Principles to Attaining Inner Peace

funding inner peaceThink of the individual that you used to be for a moment, or the aspects of yourself that you are learning to transcend and transform through spiritual growth. That aspect of yourself is nothing more than a fixed perspective of life, your identity, a reality that is held in place through habitual thought, emotion, and behavior.

You only need to surrender to the higher consciousness within yourself, and all of the issues in your life will be resolved, and inner peace will be yours. You will naturally transform and become greater than you ever dreamed yourself to be as you let go of your old identity and embrace the new, powerful, infinite, and eternal aspect of yourself. More…

Money and Spirituality – 5 Common Abundance Blocks, and How to Transform Them
By Juliet Tang

money and spiritualityMoney is a touchy topic for many given we live in a world where most of us have been programmed to buy into the belief that there is not enough, and we have most likely at some point in our lives witnessed and experienced (or are witnessing and experiencing) a state of lack. More often than not, it is a subject that triggers emotions such as anger, anxiety, insecurity and frustration since, in our society, our relationship with money is tied to our experience of abundance, security and freedom.

The purpose of this article is not to discuss the philosophical or political aspects of money, it is to guide you in the process of examining, and perhaps shifting, your own relationship with this specific form of energy exchange, should you feel inspired. More…

Peoples’ Tribunal Finds Monsanto in Violation of Human Rights
by Deirdre Fulton

Monsanto guilty of ecocideBiotech giant Monsanto “has engaged in practices which have negatively impacted the right to a healthy environment, the right to food, and the right to health,” five international judges comprising the “Monsanto Tribunal” declared Tuesday.

The panel, which heard two days of testimony outside the Hague in October and spent the months since reviewing the evidence, concluded that “if such a crime of ecocide were recognized in international criminal law, the activities of Monsanto could possibly constitute” such a crime, citing its widespread dissemination of “dangerous agrochemicals in industrial agriculture;” “the engineering, production, introduction, and release of genetically engineered crops;” and “the introduction of persistent organic pollutants such as PCB into the environment.”

Convened by civil society groups including the Organic Consumers Association, Navdanya, IFOAM Organics International, the Biovision Foundation, and Regeneration International, the tribunal’s findings are not legally binding. However, they bolster the coalition’s larger effort “to liberate our seeds and soils, our communities and societies, our planet and ourselves, from poisons and the rule of the poison cartel,” as Navdanya founder Vandana Shiva wrote last year. The biggest story here is that civil society itself has stepped in to fill the void where the corporate controlled judicial system has failed to protect the planet and its inhabitants.

Institutes for Technologies of Reunion

technologies of reunionWhen I graduated from high school in 1985, college was the unquestionable next step for an intelligent, middle-class or upper-middle class young person. I entered an elite school not out of any particular ambition, but because the story that surrounded me said that this is how to do life. College, and probably further degrees thereafter, was the path to full participation in society.

The problem was that deep down, I didn’t want to fully participate in society. I sensed a wrongness at the base of things. As I learned more about the workings of the world, I didn’t want to be part of it. Even the public service paths that elite education could prepare me for seemed themselves to be still part of the same system. More…

Morbid Inequality: Now Just SIX Men Have as Much Wealth as Half the World’s Population

protecting the rich from the have notsWhile the United States is ranked 37th in the world in education spending, the 14 richest Americans earned enough money from their investments in 2015 to hire two million preschool teachers.

Yes, inequality is getting worse every year. In early 2016, Oxfam reported that just 62 individuals held the same wealth as the bottom half of humanity. About a year later Oxfam reported that just 8 men had the same wealth as the world’s bottom half. Now, based on the same methodology and data sources used by Oxfam, that number is down to 6. More…

The Control System is Revealing Itself

we are at a crossroadThis is the opportunity we’ve been waiting for. This is the moment when we can choose to be truly free, or choose our enslavement. We’re watching a split in the deep state which is undermining the oligarchical grip on our shared resources and systems, illustrating how weak they really are.

We’re watching huge droves of people slip deeper into deception and delusion, whilst many others are enacting on their courage to face both personal and impersonal truths – as hard as it might be – to raise their level of awareness.

And we’re also watching most of humanity unconsciously meander towards a crossroad; one path will lead us to decentralize and localize our management structures, and the other will ensure the further erosion of our personal and community sovereignty by a corporatocracy disguised as a government, which falsely alleges it takes care of ‘the people’. How To Live In Interesting Times

may you live in interesting timesMy friends, you are indeed living in interesting times. Politically and otherwise, the recent past has been most stressful for many of you. I’m not just referring to effects of the campaign and election in the United States and to other developments around the globe. They are just the tip of the iceberg. The U.S. election and the run-up to it, for example, are only a clear mirror for the pain, fear, and anger that you have all been feeling in a world full of upheaval and change. All of you are feeling pushed and pulled and battered by the turbulent energies around you, and are longing for a less insane world to live in.

When you look at your everyday world, it can be disheartening. You see an incredible number of events and crises around the globe that you haven’t found ways to effectively handle. And with the worldwide media, you’re more aware of all of these than ever before. Many of you, even those of you who are evolving most rapidly, may be having a hard time. For most of you, your immediate response to all this is that you are paralyzed or polarized. More..
